FAQs

Where can I buy my copy?
The Liverpool Encyclopedia will be available in all good bookshops from 30 September 2013. However subscribers (those who pre-order their book) get their names printed in a "Roll of Honour" in the book's appendix. Order before 26 July and get 20% off the cover price.

What is the Roll of Honour?
The Roll of Honour is a list of all those who have subscribed to the book before it hits the shops. It will be published as an appendix. It's your way of getting your name in print alongside the stars for posterity, and ours of saying "thank you" for ordering in advance.

The book is a gift, can I include someone else's name in the Roll of Honour?
Yes. Simply include their name in the appropriate field when placing your order. If you want the book delivered to another address make sure to include a different delivery address to your billing address.

I want to honour the memory of a loved one by including them in the Roll of Honour, is that okay?
Absolutely. Customers have asked us this before when we have previously published limited editions and it's something we welcome.

Can I include a nickname or company name in the Roll of Honour?
Sorry, this is limited to individuals, and to protect the integrity of the book we only allow 'real' names.

How do I pay?
We accept payment via all major credit cards and via your Paypal account.

Will I be able to get my book delivered outside the UK?
Yes, The Liverpool Encyclopedia will be available worldwide - simply select the appropriate postage option from our site.

Our apologies that it's so expensive to post books beyond the UK. It's simply a reflection of current postage prices. For the record we don't make any profit on postage and packing. We've experimented with the (slightly cheaper) surface mail option in the past, but found it too slow and unreliable a method to keep offering it.

What are the limited edition versions?
We will be making two special limited edition versions of the book available to pre-order prior to publication. These are unique collectors' items signed by some of the greatest names in Liverpool's history. Both editions pay homage to Bill Shankly, who would have celebrated his centenary this year.

The Legends Edition is clothbound, presented in a beautiful slipcase and signed by 10 of the players to have graced Anfield during the Shankly era. The run is limited to 200 copies and will be available to pre-order from 19 July 2013.

The Shankly The Great Edition is handbound in leather, presented in a cloth lined solander case and also signed by 10 of the players to have graced Anfield during the Shankly era. Each of the 50 copies in the run will include a personalised nameplate bearing the name of the subscriber. This run is limited to just 50 copies and will be available to pre-order from 26 July 2013.

We expect these exclusive limited editions to sell quickly. When we produced similar editions for the Everton Encyclopedia more than 80 per cent of copies sold prior to publication.

When will I get my book?
We are aiming to dispatch the books in the last week of September.
